Customers requiring assistance

  • t’way Air provides Unaccompanied Minor (UM) services for children traveling alone who are not accompanied by a guardian.

Target

  • Domestic flights
  • available for children ages older than 5 and under 12 years old (based on the travel commencement date)
  • International flights
  • Available for children aged 5 – 12 (based on the travel date)
  • Children aged 5 - under 13(Domestic), Children aged 5 - under 12(International) who are not accompanied by a guardian or without an unaccompanied children service application may not travel alone
  • For international flight, this service is available for children aged 12 - under 18 for a separate service fee
  • Reservations for infants/children on the Homepage or mobile app can only be made alongside adult (aged 18 and older) flight ticket purchases. Child-only flight ticket purchases can be made through the Reservation Center.

Available routes

  • All domestic routes, All international routes (excluding Russia). However, through route/multi-city flights and codeshare flights are not eligible.

Offered service

  • This service helps children traveling alone to safely travel from moment they receive the boarding pass until they finally meet the guardian at the destination airport.
  • Departure: non-accompanying children are assigned a child managing employee + assistance with boarding and departure procedures + priority on baggage collection + handed off to relevant flight cabin crew member
  • Arrival: non-accompanying child is assigned a child managing employee + put in contact with the guardian to whom the child will be handed off before the aircraft arrives(International Flights) + helps with the entry procedures and helps collect baggage + handed off to guardian at the destination.

  • Domestic flights effective from January 19, 2026 (based on the date of travel).

Caution

  • A parent or guardian ages 18 or older that can care for the unaccompanied child must come out to the airport the day of departure/arrival.
  • At the destination airport, the hand off may be possible after checking the guardian's ID. (a photo ID or a passport)
  • The necessary documents for unaccompanied children (unaccompanied children service application, pledge) should be drafted in advance and submitted to the airport counter on the same day of departure. Depending on the qualifications, the service may be denied.
  • Immigration regulations (includes quarantine and customs) differ by country (the Philippines, Vietnam, North America, Mongolia). You can be denied entry if you do not possess the required documents for immigration.(Refer to the unaccompanied children regulations by each country below for details.)
  • This service can only be used at legs that are directly operated by t’way Airlines. This service is not available when connecting with other airlines.
  • When using the unaccompanied child service, duty free goods delivery is not available.
  • When using the unaccompanied child service, check-in is not possible via the city air terminal, kiosk or web.

How to apply for service

STEP 01 Apply for the unaccompanied child service
  • Please receive your confirmation after applying for the service via the T’way Airlines reservations center 24 hours before(Domestic), 48 hours before(International) your trip.
  • When applying, please provide accurate personal details and contacts(address, phone number) of the guardian that will send off/pick up the child at the point of departure/arrival.
STEP 02 Download the application

STEP 03 Submit the application at the airport the day of departure (check-in counter of the airport of departure)
  • You must arrive at the t’way Airlines counter a minimum of 120 minutes before departure.
  • Please bring documents to verify the identity of the guardian on the day of departure. (Picture IDs or copies of a passport)
  • In case an unaccompanied child application cannot be filled out in advance, you can fill one out onsite at the airport counter.
STEP 04 Application receipt complete and hand off to the child managing employee
  • To ensure the service goes smoothly, the guardian at the point of departure should please wait at the airport until the plane's departure.
STEP 05 Information for picking up the child at the point of arrival airport (accompanied by managing employee)
  • The child can only be handed off when the identification of the guardian at the point of arrival matches the information on the existing application.

Unaccompanied child regulations for the Philippines

  • Intended for
    • Unaccompanied children between the ages of 5 and 15
    • When entering the Philippines, the required documents and fees should be prepared according to the Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG) regulations required by the Philippines Department of Justice for unaccompanied children ages 15 and under that are not accompanied by at least 1 parent.
    • ※ Please bear in mind that violating this regulation could result in being denied entry.

  • Note
    • When accompanied by the father during entry: for child passengers ages 15 or younger, no additional documents are required
    • When accompanied by the mother during entry: for child passengers ages 15 or younger that are traveling with the mother in the absence of the father, documents are required to verify that the child she is accompanying is a family member. (English resident registration that shows a mother-child relationship, or a notarized English certificate of family register, etc.)

Unaccompanied child regulations for Vietnam

  • Intended for

    Unaccompanied children older than 5 and younger than 14 years old traveling without a guardian are required to apply for an unaccompanied child service in order to be admitted entry.

  • Documents to bring upon entry
    • If a guardian that is 18 years or older accompanies the child instead of the parents, a notarized parental consent form is required.
    • For more details, please contact the Vietnam Embassy & Consulate in Seoul, or contact the Republic of Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Note
    • If accompanied by the mother upon entry: for child passengers under 14 years old that are traveling with the mother in the absence of the father, documents are required to verify the family relationship. (English resident registration that shows a mother-child relationship, or a notarized English certificate of family register, etc.)

  • Unaccompanied child regulations for Guam / Saipan

    • Intended for

      A notarized English parental consent form is strongly recommended for children between the ages of 5 and 18 that are unaccompanied by their parents or accompanied by a non-parent guardian.

    Wheelchair Service

    • As the quantity of wheelchairs available at each airport is limited.
    • Passengers who need a wheelchair can request in advance through the reservation center or Website.

    Passengers using personal Wheelchair

    • Passengers using their personal wheelchairs up to the boarding gate will be escorted by agent.
    • Afterwards, wheelchair will be collected at the borading gate and loaded into the baggage compartment.
    • Upon reaching your destination, we will guide you to the arrival gate and ensure your wheelchair is ready for use.
      ※ Subject to change depending on the circumstances of the airport.
    • T'way Air operates a bridge (boarding bridge) or remote (bus transfer) for boarding, and we ask for your understanding that using the remote (bus transfer) may cause some inconvenience in moving.
    • According to our mobility aid acceptance policy and dangerous goods handling manual, please inform the reservation center of the following details:
      - Type and number of wheelchair batteries
      - Dimensions of the wheelchair
      - Handling instructions for the wheelchair
      ※ Mobility aids powered by batteries for passengers with reduced mobility may require additional measures by the airline in accordance with our dangerous goods transportation policy.

    Cabin wheelchair service

    • All aircrafts are equipped with one wheelchair for passengers who have difficulty moving on board without a wheelchair.
    • Passengers who are in need of an in-flight wheelchair are requested to apply for the in-flight wheelchair service through the reservation center at least 25 hours before departure.
    • As the number of in-flight wheelchairs is limited, rental is available in the order of advance reservation requests.

    Priority Check-in Service

    • Priority check-in service is available at airport counters for customers who require assistance.
      ※ At airports without a dedicated counter, please ask our staff for assistance.

    Priority seat service for the transportation vulnerable

    • We operate priority seat services for pregnant passengers with difficulty in moving, pregnant passengers, and infants (less than 24 months old).
    • Please apply for priority seat service through the reservation center 25 hours before departure, and if applied, please contact the on-site (counter) on the day of departure.
      ※ Please submit evidence to confirm that you are vulnerable to transportation during the procedure.
    • The seat you applied for may change depending on the on-site situation on the day.
    • For some routes, it may not be possible to apply for priority seats for the transportation disadvantaged.
    • If priority seating cannot be assigned, alternative seating arrangements will be made with the utmost consideration for the customer’s convenience

    For visually and hearing impaired customers

    • We provide guidance/assistance services to help passengers complete check in procudures.
    • Please apply for guidance/assistance services through the reservation center at least 48 hours before departure.
    • Service requests are possible if there is a guardian to pick up and drop off at the departure and arrival airports.

    Traveling with Service Animals

    How to Apply for Service Animals
    • When traveling with a service animal, it can be transported free of charge.

      Please make a request to our reservation center at least 48 hours prior to departure.

    Guidelines for Traveling with Service Animals
    • Service Animals must wear a leash or harness throughout the journey.
    • A valid certificate or ID issued by an authorized institution must be carried.
    • Service Animals must behave appropriately in public areas and remain under the handler’s control at all times.
    • Boarding may be denied if the Service Animals exhibit untrained behavior such as excessive barking, threatening other passengers, or relieving itself in inappropriate areas.
    • Service Animals must remain on the floor in front of the passenger’s seat and must not occupy the aisle or encroach upon another passenger’s space. An additional seat cannot be allocated for the Service Animals.
    • Feeding is not permitted during the flight, except for water. For long-haul journeys, feeding may be done during a stopover at the passenger’s own expense and preparation..
    • For international flights, vaccination and quarantine certificates may be required in accordance with the quarantine regulations of the destination country. Please verify all entry requirements in advance and carry the necessary documents during travel.
